A MONUMENTAL CHANGE

CHANGE IS COMING...

The time for change has come, or it's coming soon - end of the month soon to be exact! Why does that sound familiar... was it in someone's speech? Shrug. Change is always good, and despite how fabulous this past year has been - I need to move on. As Buzz Lightyear would say, 'To infinity and beyond'. I know, infinity is pushing it but what the heck, it's much the same stuff dreams are made of, so I'll go with it.

I've kept the name for sentimental reasons, but as it's me, myself and I running the blog, every time I look at the name, SSBookFanatics, it makes me feel as if I have an imaginary friend in this title, although there is absolutely nothing wrong with imaginary friends - if you're five. So, although I am extremely appreciative of the time Suzanne took to write her awesome reviews, I've thought long and hard, shared my thoughts with precisely two awesome people to which I got the thumbs up in this decision I've made, and Bob's your uncle. Must be, 'cause he ain't mine. 

Watch this space, or watch for the new blog header and name... soon. I'm super, super excited about this. Don't go expecting a live show up there - that's just not gonna happen, but it will be different. Nothing else will change where the blog is concerned, except for the fact that Natasha has jumped on board and will be doing book reviews as you saw in my 'Welcome' post. 

Frankly, it's just fab!

Whilst I was making like Buzz, Natasha was busy on her side of the world. Here's what she's been up to:

Meet the new Dynamic Reviewing Duo!

Sandra and I have launched a new venture together! We are so excited that we've begun sharing this new project on Facebook. Thanks to the lovely Junying Kirk who dubbed us 'the dynamic reviewing duo', we've decided to adopt the name. Sandra, the owner of SSBookFanatics (which is about to have a name change, hence a new blog address, so stay tuned for more info), has kindly welcomed me as a reviewer on her blog. Together we will be reviewing traditionally published books, along with authors who are self-published.

But Sandra and I have a twist that we want to bring to these reviews. While Sandra will accept review requests when her schedule permits, I, on the other hand, will be prowling the internet for books that grab my attention. If your book intrigues me and I like what I see, I'll begin to read your book so I can review it. Now, here's the twist, you won't know about it until we start tweeting about the upcoming review with YOUR BOOK'S TITLE attached to it. We're calling it: Snagging an Author.

My reviews will not be done as 'a favor' for an author, nor will it be 'as a payback for deeds'. My reviews will solely be based on your book. Once I 'snag' a book, you'll see it in my Tweets and on Facebook, and I may even give a hint or two, but when I'm done reading that's when I'll post the title of the book and the author's name, while the review is being prepped.

Sandra and I look forward to getting to know a whole lot more authors and putting a smile on their faces! Imagine waking up to a brand new review and your name plastered all over Twitter and Facebook. How exciting would that be!
