BOOK REVIEW

ANGEL BABY by Leslie Kelly

BOOK BLURB
FIRST TIME IN PRINT--A Sexy, Heartwarming Romance from bestselling author Leslie Kelly

When Claudia Warren goes into premature labor in the worst possible place, at the worst possible time, a handsome stranger comes to her aid, saving her life and the life of her daughter.

Former rebel Chase Paxton is a loner, and he likes it that way, so delivering a stranger's baby shocks him to his core. Even more shocking is that the beautiful young mother disappears before he can even learn her last name.

Now, fate has brought the very sexy, available Claudia back into Chase's life. And while the physical attraction between them sizzles, neither wants any emotional tangles. Can two people who've sworn off love for good ever move beyond the past to trust in a future together?

Being a huge Leslie Kelly fan - I was excited when she released this book on August 14, 2011 so it's no surprise I bought and read it on the same day!  Leslie Kelly is a MASTER at story telling.  The old adage " you either have it or you don't" applies with every single book that has her name on it, because Leslie Kelly has it - in spades!  Angel Baby is a beautiful love story about Chase who is not looking for love or complications and Claudia who is pregnant, alone and has recently been widowed.  As fate or destiny would have it, they meet outside a cemetery.  Chase is in for the shock of his life, when faced with a life changing event.  Out in the middle of nowhere, he has no choice but to help Claudia who is on the verge of giving birth.  Not only does he take her home while waiting for an ambulance, he is party to the birth. This is a day that will forever bind them whether they like it or not or were even prepared for it. This love story takes you through past hurts, family issues but also beautiful memories.  When family is lacking, this is exactly what will be yearned for but sometimes it takes a while to come to terms with the fact that it is possible to overcome the anger and loneliness and open your heart to love and the possibility of creating your own family. I loved all the characters from Chase and Claudia (who are just so perfect for each other) to Ryan and Melanie (true friends in every sense of the word), to Dorien (the wonderful quirky lovable granny some of us have been lucky enough to have in our lives), to Sarah the Angel Baby. Not forgetting the "villain" Andrew, who we all love to hate (and would probably smack, if we could).  This book took me all the way back to when I read love stories until all hours of the morning.  As usual, Leslie Kelly has made me laugh and tear up (not pretty, but nobody was watching me at this point) by delivering yet another tender, sweet, sexily sensual and beautiful love story.  Heart string tugging....sigh!  www.lesliekelly.com
